The 2026 Order of Merit (OMT) schedules have concluded with eight champions being crowned in the province.
All the champions will receive an exemption into a Golf Saskatchewan championship of their choosing in 2027.
In the under-15 women’s category, it was Natalie Maunula of North Battleford winning. Led by a Saskatchewan championship, Maunula collected four wins in six events this summer accumulating 1,640 points. Alyxa Melsted of Wynyard was second, 260 points behind Maunula.
The under-19 women’s division was won by Grace Odnokon. The under-17 and under-19 Saskatchewan champion earned 3,163 points in five tournaments this year including three victories. Tina Liu of Warman was second 275 points back.
The under-13 men’s category Hudson Deibert of Regina won again. The 11-year-old dominated his age group with five wins in eight events including the Saskatchewan championship. The Royal Regina Golf Club member had 1,500 points this year, 260 more than Cohen Bridge of Saskatoon.
Melville’s Keaton Kreklewich used his under-15 provincial title to propel him the OMT title as well. The 14-year-old amassed four wins in five tournaments to win the age group by 360 points over Jace Munro of Swift Current.
Another provincial champion is an OMT winner. Ryan Mosher of Saskatoon won the junior men’s title and the OMT for the under-19 division. The Riverside Country Club player won all three events he played in accumulating 2,500 points. Under-17 provincial champion Shae Maunula of North Battleford was just 162 points back.
Another repeat winner is Kim Walker of Regina. The Wascana Country Club member won the women’s senior championship again this year and won the OMT for the second straight campaign. She had three second place finishes this year and was seventh at the Saskatchewan Amateur Championships. Fellow Regina native Alex Schmidt, the mid-amateur champion was second 700 points back of Walker.
Jesse Gibson never reached the top of the podium in five tournaments this summer, but the Saskatoon product is the 2026 men’s OMT champion. Gibson earned 2,150 points in a handful of tournaments outlasting Saskatchewan mid-amateur champion Connor Scissons by 324 points.
In the senior men’s standings, Rick Hallberg of Weyburn won again. The Golf Kenosee member has won every year since at least 2021 when online points were calculated. Hallberg tied for seventh at the Saskatchewan Senior Men’s Championships in Meadow Lake but won three other events including the three-day Mercator Financial Southwest Championship in Swift Current.
Brad Phelps of Saskatoon placed second, 725 points behind.
