Nelson, Villeneuve win U.S. Blind Golf Championship

Meadow Lake’s Gerry Nelson and Chris Villeneuve are on their way home from Columbus, GA with a U.S. Blind Golf Championship victory.

Gerry, a blind golfer along with his coach Chris were first in net score a the 36-hole, two-day tournament, the dynamic-duo was second in net score.

The results are not posted but Golf Saskatchewan was informed by Meadow Lake Golf Course Superintendent Daryl Wood that Nelson and Villeneuve did indeed win the event.

Earlier this month Nelson and Villeneuve sat down with Golf Saskatchewan to discuss their friendship, careers, and accomplishments with Nelson admitting the U.S. Blind Golf Championship as the trophy he coveted the most, that he has now claimed alongside his “best friend.”
