Chernoff; Hallberg winners at Crocus Open

Logan Chernoff is the men's Crocus Open champion.

Logan Chernoff and Rick Hallberg are the 2026 Crocus Open champions following the event this past weekend in Weyburn at the 67 Golf Course.

Chernoff fired back-to-back rounds of 71 and was the lone player in the field to shoot under par finishing at 2-under par, 142. The Estevan product was two shots better than Weyburn golfers Tyler Mryglod and Darien Herlick who tied for second at even par.

Another Weyburn player, Landon Emberley was fourth at 147 (73, 74) while Avonlea resident Hudson Heistad rounded out the top five.

In the senior men’s division, constant champion Rick Hallberg of Weyburn claimed another victory.

The Golf Kenosee member posted rounds of 74 and 70 to outlast Ron Swan of Regina by eight shots.

Bryan Dew was third at 12-over par. Paul Grimes (Arcola) and Lorne Hoedel (Regina) tied at 160 to place fourth.
