The Humboldt Golf Club welcomed over 100 juniors for a 36-hole Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT) event on the weekend.

The superb season for Alyxa Melsted of Wynyard continued. The 13-year-old won her third straight under-15 women’s age group on the tour with a two round score of 165 (87, 78). Clara Zhang of Saskatoon was second at 189 (91, 98) and in third at 200 (102, 98) was Jiaya Tang of Prince Albert.
Arwen Mosher of Saskatoon has earned her first two round tournament win. The 16-year-old won the 15 to 19 women’s category with rounds of 83 and 85. Mosher held off both Ada Dillon (Onion Lake) and Tina Liu (Warman) who each had a score of 170, two shots back of Mosher.

Speaking of dominance, 11-year-old Hudson Deibert of Regina appears unbeatable at the under-13 men’s level. The provincial champion last year in the age group has also swept the MJT so far in 2026. He carded rounds of 77 and 75 to just get passed another young talented player, Cohen Bridge by two shots. Bridge, a Corman Park 12-year-old shot 78 and 76. Fellow Corman Park junior Jackson Orr was third in the division at 168 (83, 85).
The three oldest divisions in the men’s field were all extremely close.

In the under 15 age group, Cooper Roberge of Lloydminster broke the streak of Melville’s Keaton Kreklewich by a shot. Roberge shot 79 and 71, finishing just a shot ahead of Kreklewich who had won the previous two MJT events this season.
Kai Axten of Redvers was third at 167 (87, 80).

The under-17 category was taken over by a pair of locals from Humboldt. Jace Olson outlasted MJT veteran Tylan Wallin by a pair of shots to win the age group that had over 40 players registered. Olson shot 76 and 75, Wallin carded rounds of 80 and 73.
Austin Nesbitt was right behind in third at 155 (75, 80).

The under-19 age group needed a playoff to decide the winner, with another Humboldt product taking the victory. Tryce Wallin needed a playoff to get passed Lincoln Rogers of Prince Albert after both players posted a 36 hole score of 151.
Griffin Blanch of Saskatoon was in the hunt and placed third at 153 (77, 76).
