There might not be a more recognizable golfer in Saskatchewan right now than Taylor Carter.
The Regina, Sask. resident is well established in the record books with a Special Olympics World Games gold medal to his credit, but it was one shot last week in Medicine Hat that caught the nations’ eye.
Using his 9 iron on hole 16 at the Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club on Aug. 14, Carter jarred the 135 yard shot on route to the win.

His sister in law was filming the shot and has since been posted by TSN and many other media outlets.
Carter spoke with Golf Saskatchewan about the shot, the aftermath, and what’s next in his golf game.
